Aircraft ELT
Aircraft ELT
(Emergency Locator Transmitter)
An Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) is a vital piece of apparatus designed to transmit distinct signals on specified frequencies, depending on its application. It can be activated either manually or automatically upon impact. These pieces of equipment are specifically made to send a distress signal in the event of an aircraft accident.
Capabilities
A properly configured ELT is a crucial component of the COSPAS-SARSAT international satellite system for SEARCH AND RESCUE (SAR). Non-geostationary satellites are capable of detecting this signal, allowing the ELT's precise location to be determined by either GPS trilateration, Doppler triangulation, or a combination of both.
Our ELTs are:
Automatically activated and readily removable from the aircraft after attachment.
Designed and mounted in the airplane in such a way that they trigger upon impact, or they can be manually activated using a remote control or panel indicator.
